Of course, it only makes sense to start with the organization that first brought me to Mongolia.

I participated in the 2008 Baga Gazaryn Chuluu survey in the Middle Gobi sponsored in part by the Center for the Study of Eurasian Nomads (CSEN).

Unfortunately, this was the last field season at BGC and the American director, Dr. William Honeychurch may not being doing any fieldschools for another year or two. You never know though, I’ll post any information as I find it. Still, check out their page for a good bibliography of archaeology for the upper Gobi region.

The CSEN website is another good resource on the study of pastoral nomads, both old and new, including some essays you can download from their site for free.
